This service is for the install of a 40 pin zif socket on an Xbox motherboard (rev 1.0-1.4)
This gives you the ability to hotswap TSOP chips to reflash them. This listing is for Iinstall service only so you will have to purchase the socket as well.
1.0-1.1 - 1mb, 40 pin TSOP Chip
1.2-1.4 - 256kb, 32 pin TSOP Chip
1.6 - NOT COMPATIBLE, NO TSOP CHIP
You must keep the chip sizes original to the board. Don't try putting a 256kb (32 pin) TSOP chip on a 1.0-1.1 socketed board, or a 1mb (40 pin) TSOP chip on a socketed 1.2-1.4 board.
You can use a 1.4 board with a socket to flash a TSOP chip to install on a 1.2 or 1.3 though as all 3 of these board revisions use the same size TSOP chip.
