Xerc 2 XE
Xerc 2 XE
The Xerc 2 XE is a small circuit board that uses infrared signal to control power and eject functions of the Xbox. It also has a fade in/out standby circuit for led's that can be hooked to the power/eject ring lights or to your own LED's. It's programmable without a PC or any kind of extra equipment. You simply hold the power button when you turn off the Xbox until the light comes back on then release it to put it into configuration mode (light is on but dim.) Then you point a remote at it and the led will flicker to acknowledge its receiving signal from the remote. You press the buttons you want to assign and the chip learns and stores the key press. It works with the OG Xbox DVD Playback Kit remote as well as many other remotes.
